Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath are an English heavy metal band from Aston, Birmingham who were formed in 1969 by Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.  Over the years the band has had a number of lineup changes with only Tony Iommi remaining consistant.

Black sabbath achieved multiple platinum success in the 1970s. Their music was often associated with social instability and political corruption as well as occult and horror inspired lyrics and songs.

Black Sabbath are considered by many as one of the pioneers of heavy metal alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.
