Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on 8 January 1935 and was to become one of the most popular singers of the 20th century and refered to as the 'King of Rock 'n' Roll'

It was in 1953 that a young teenager walked into the offices of Sun Records, within two years he had become an international phenomenon.  Six decades later and he still defines the outer parameters of Rock Music.

Although Elvis died on 16 August 1977, many felt as if they had lost Elvis years earlier.
