Johnny Cash

John R. "Johnny" Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas on February 26, 1932.  He was an American singer/songwriter, actor and author.  He is considered by many as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century with music spanning across genres such as country, rock and roll, rockabilly as well as blues, folk and gospel.  Later on in his career, Cash covered songs by a number of rock artists.

Johnny Cash died of complications from diabetes on September 12, 2003.
