Lloyd Price

Lloyd Price is an American R&B vocalist who was born in Kenner, Louisiana on March 9, 1933.  His first recording "Lawdy, Miss Clawdy was a massive hit in 1952 and it wasn't until he refined his New Orleans beat that he would emulate this success with a series of hit recordings.  He has also been known as "Mr Personality" after one of his hit records.

In 1998, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
