Living Colour is an American rock band from New York, who formed in 1984.  The bands music is a mix of funk, hard rock, heavy metal, neo-psychedelia, jazz.

The bands songs and lyrics are both inspired by personal and political experiences with some attacking racism and Eurocentrism.

They were named best new artist in 1989 and won a Grammy Award for one of their best remembered songs "Cult of Personality". Living Colour disbanded in 1995, but reunited late in 2000.
